Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Platinum Blonde and Platinum Plus?
Platinum Blonde Violet Shampoo is the gentle violet shampoo for regular toning of light to medium blonde, silver, grey and white hair. Platinum Plus Deep Violet Shampoo tones more strongly and is made as a weekly treatment for medium to dark and highlighted blondes whose colour turns brassy quickly. Both are followed by Platinum Blonde Violet Conditioner.
How long should I leave Paul Mitchell purple shampoo on?
One to five minutes. Massage it into wet hair, leave it on longer the more toning you want, then rinse. After Platinum Plus, rinse well and wash your hands, as the deep violet pigment can stain.
Does Platinum Blonde work on grey or silver hair?
Yes. Platinum Blonde Violet Shampoo brightens silver, grey and white hair as well as light to medium blonde, cancelling the yellow tones that make grey look dull.
How much is Paul Mitchell Platinum Blonde Shampoo?
Platinum Blonde Violet Shampoo is £20.95 for 300 ml and £48.95 for 1 litre. Platinum Plus Deep Violet Shampoo is £24.95 for 300 ml.
How do Platinum Plus Toning Drops work?
Add a few pumps to your usual Paul Mitchell shampoo, conditioner, treatment or styler in your palm, apply to clean, damp hair and rinse if it's a rinse-off product. More drops give a stronger result. Wash your hands straight after, as the pigment can stain.
