Paul Mitchell Clear is the salon's entry range — the "essentials" formulations designed to work on every hair type without specialty targeting. If you don't know where to start with Paul Mitchell, the Clear range is the answer. Shampoo, conditioner, mask, smoothing serum, and styling glaze — all colour-safe, salon-tested, and surprisingly affordable.

How to choose

  • Daily cleanser → Essential Shampoo. Lightweight, balanced, no targeted concern. Safe on every hair type.
  • Daily detangle & condition → Essential Conditioner. Goes with any shampoo (Tea Tree, Awapuhi, etc.).
  • Weekly deep treatment → Jelly Mask. Lightweight gel-cream texture, doesn't weigh hair down. 5-10 minute treatment.
  • Daily smoothing → Smoothing Serum. Few drops mid-blowdry or on dry hair to control frizz.
  • Light styling control → Styling Glaze. Medium hold, brushable, salon's "every-day styling" recommendation.

The Clear routine

  1. Cleanse with Essential Shampoo — emulsify 10p amount, massage 60s, rinse.
  2. Condition mid-lengths to ends with Essential Conditioner. 2 mins, cool rinse.
  3. Weekly: apply Jelly Mask after shampoo, leave 5-10 mins, rinse.
  4. Style: few drops Smoothing Serum on damp hair, blow-dry, then Styling Glaze for hold + brush-through.
