Why we rate it

If your blow-dry collapses before you've left the house, try this. It's a lightweight gel for fine hair that builds body as you dry, with a soft hold that keeps movement, and it helps protect hair from the heat of the dryer. Work a 10p-sized amount through towel-dried hair from roots to ends, comb it through, then blow-dry with a large round brush, lifting at the roots. The finish is smooth and shiny rather than stiff.

Start with a small amount and spread it evenly with a comb or your fingers before you shape. It’s easier to add a little more than to take too much out.
