Super Skinny Serum is the smoothing serum that makes a blow-dry quicker and sleeker. It's very concentrated, so one pump rubbed between your palms is enough for most hair: apply it to clean, damp hair, then blow-dry or style as usual. It cuts drying time, smooths and seals the cuticle for a high shine, and gives a humidity-resistant, frizz-free finish that still suits fine hair. It also helps protect against heat up to 232°C. Use more only on very thick or curly hair.

Is Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum discontinued?
No. In the US, Paul Mitchell has renamed its Smooth range 'Anti-Frizz' and says Super Skinny Serum keeps the same smoothing formula under the new name, so you may see either label (paulmitchell.com, checked 18 October 2026). paul-mitchell.co.uk still lists it in 25 ml, 150 ml and 250 ml.

Do you put Super Skinny Serum on wet or dry hair?
On clean, damp hair, before you blow-dry or style. To finish dry hair, Gloss Drops is Paul Mitchell's finishing serum (best on medium to coarse hair), and before straighteners or tongs add a heat protectant such as Hot Off The Press.
What's the difference between Super Skinny Serum and Smoothing Serum?
Super Skinny Serum is the classic smoothing serum and blow-dry primer, with heat protection up to 232°C and an apple, berry and floral scent. Smoothing Serum is from Paul Mitchell's Clear range, with just three ingredients and no fragrance or dyes, for people with sensitivities.
Which size of Super Skinny Serum is best value?
The 250 ml works out lowest, at £15.98 per 100 ml, against £19.97 per 100 ml for the 150 ml and £55.80 per 100 ml for the 25 ml. Because one pump does most heads of hair, the 25 ml is a handy way to try it or to travel.
