The Paul Mitchell Express Ion Round Brush is a professional blow-dry brush with an aluminium barrel that holds heat the way a curling iron does, letting you shape, curl and build volume as you dry. Its Express Ion Complex works through negative ions and far-infrared heat to speed up drying and seal down the cuticle, while corkscrew vegan bristles and a cork-grip handle keep every pass comfortable and controlled.

How to use: rough-dry hair to around eighty per cent, then take clean sections and work the brush and dryer together from roots through to ends. Mel’s tips: choose Small or Medium for shorter cuts and tighter bends, Large or X-Large for longer hair and big, bouncy volume — and let each section cool on the barrel for a moment before releasing, because hair sets its shape as it cools.
