He has been a Paul Mitchell professional for the last 22 years, making him a truly valued part of the Paul Mitchell global family.
His love and passion for his work, with his continuous attention to detail is what makes him stand out in the hairdressing industry.
Retail Manager
As the sole proprietor of The Color’s online shop, Richard runs this business exclusively selling Paul Mitchell products.
His product knowledge is unsurpassed, and customers know that as a hair professional he has tried and tested every single product and can advise on their suitability in particular situations.
The Color’s Online Shop has built up a very loyal customer base across the UK, with
purchasers confident in the knowledge that they are buying from a professional working hairdresser, with every product, wrapped and posted personally by Richard himself.
Property Developer
Throughout the years of Richard’s working life, he has also put his eye for creativity into property development.
Richard saw the potential of an old unloved post office, when nobody else did. He committed to transforming it into a luxurious commercial building with The Color hair salon occupying the ground floor for many years.
During lockdown, not wanting to be idle, Richard has worked tirelessly to give The Color a thorough and distinct makeover ready for the return to business in the safest possible way, once lockdown is over.
Richard has also ensured that the salon received the deepest of cleans, whilst fully researching the requirements to make sure the salon is sterile, safe, and clean for the returning clients.
Richard’s last big project was the renovation of an apartment just half a kilometre from Bridlington’s sandy beach. In his spare time outside of the salon and spending time with his family, Richard restored a tired apartment to a luxurious and beautiful holiday apartment aptly named after his daughter ‘Angel by the Sea’.
